The Montana Department of Commerce’s Census & Economic Information Center (CEIC) and Office of Trade & International Relations have developed the Montana Export Statistics webpage to provide the most current information available on Montana’s commodity exports. Data is available on total exports to destination countries and by commodity for both NAICS and HS groupings. The source of the data is WISERTrade Online State database.

Where Montana's Wheat Goes In 2013, Montana sent 122 million bushels of wheat to exporting facilities in the U.S. According to the Montana Wheat & Barley Committee, Japan purchased over 50% of that Montana wheat with secondary markets being Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, & Indonesia. (Roughly 75% of all Montana wheat is exported to Asia).
